3D inspection verifies that boxes are completely sealed

Challenge:

Ensure boxes are completely sealed in the packaging process

Solution:

A DS1000 inspects boxes after they are sealed and identifies the height difference between a sealed and an unsealed box so the insealed box can be taken off the line. Product changeovers were also made easy because the DS1000 has a large field of view and could run a different job without needing to be physically moved.

Results:

The DS1000 helped the manufacturer achieved 100% reliable inspection of all boxes and facilitated simple product changeovers, allowing them to prevent unsealed boxes from shipping to customers.
