Cognex Receives Engineers' Choice Award as Selected by the Readers of Control Engineering Magazine

Award for the In-Sight Micro vision system validates company’s 2008 accomplishments and commitment to innovative leadership

Cognex’s new product was selected as the machine vision award recipient along with 24 other category winners, edging out nominations from National Instruments and Dalsa.

Launched in March of 2008, the Cognex In-Sight Micro is the world’s smallest, smartest, and easiest vision system.  In-Sight Micro packs a complete vision system into a remarkably small package that measures just 30mm x 30mm x 60mm. Control Engineering’s awards program, now in its 22nd year, historically called this competition the “Editor’s Choice” where the editorial team selected the most noteworthy products. However, in 2006, the magazine opened up the balloting to some of their North American online subscribers, those with the most hands-on experience with the products, and so the competition is now called the “Engineers’ Choice Awards”.
