Final Packaging Inspection
Confirm that packaging components match
Manufacturers take great measures to avoid labeling mix-ups that, at best, damage brand reputation and at worst can lead to expensive recalls and liability. Many consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturers print and scan 1D and 2D barcodes on items to ensure they are labeled accurately and advertise the correct contents. These barcodes are used to verify that multi-part packaging components, like a top and bottom, match.
After assembly, DataMan fixed-mount barcode readers quickly scan barcodes to confirm that lids and containers match each other and accurately reflect the package’s contents. Multiple readers mounted on a conveyor or in a barcode tunnel identify codes, regardless of orientation, to confirm a match before they proceed to shipping.
