Vision System Design is Critical To Performance
How your vision system is designed will play a large part in determining how easy the system will be to set up on your production line. Some vision systems can be downright clunky. Their X, Y and Θ dimensions simply do not fit the space and this really limits the areas in which the system can be deployed. Also, most vision systems require external lighting to be effective, this adds bulk and cost. If the external lighting requires a power source, the space and cost required to provide it can create even more of a challenge.
A system with a right angle design and a slim profile is one of the easiest to set up. If the system includes Ethernet, IO and light connectors the system becomes even more streamlined. A vision system with integrated lighting and field-replaceable autofocus optics delivers the ultimate in ease of set-up on the production line.
