Lens Advisor
The Cognex Lens Advisor makes it easy to narrow down lens choices for your vision application. Conversely it also eases estimation of your application’s field of view and working distance if you’ve already chosen a lens. Just follow the numbered steps. Start by selecting what you want to do. Then select the product line and model you are using from the drop down menus. Using the correct model is important due to differing image sensor properties. Optionally you can select units other than millimeters (focal length is always in mm). Enter values for the remaining inputs and click the Calculate button. An exact focal length, working distance and FOV will be calculated and displayed in the result table. Because lenses may not be available for the exact calculated focal length, results for the closest higher and lower focal lengths are also displayed.
